Unfortunately, I’ve lost three people I cared about in my immediate community in as many weeks and it has been very hard to deal with. All were under different circumstances and the losses were all very difficult personally. In times like this, there are many lessons to learn and we can’t help but recognize the importance of living in the moment and being grateful for everyday.
It is also during times like this that we feel inadequate. What do we do? How can we possibly help to ease the pain and suffering of this those left behind? What is the right thing to say?
The answer to this question is that there is no right thing to say and yet everything is the right thing to say. Letting them know you care, listening to their heart, and simply being there is all the right thing to say. This lesson applies to everything in life. So don’t be afraid. It’s all the right thing.
