Turns out, you can hike your creativity when you take a hike. Writers, philosophers, and artists have known all along (I’m sure if your could ask William Wadsworth or Mark Twain they would tell you it is so!) about the benefits of taking strolls to think, solve problems, and create brilliant ideas. Now it has been scientifically proven. In several studies conducted at Stanford, people came up with 81 -100% more potential uses for an object while walking than those that tried to be creative while sitting. So next time you need some fresh ideas and perhaps a bit of creativity to get you or your team going, hit the pavement, (or the trail) and watch your creativity soar!
