Today seems to be the day that several people I know have ranted and vented with uncontrollable rage at the AT & T and Time Warner Cable companies and yes, I’m naming names. I’ve been in this position myself when you feel frustration, and anger at trying to talk to someone, anyone that can actually help you solve your problem.
As far as I know, Time Warner doesn’t have a customer service number, so there isn’t a specific department to help and answer questions with some level of intelligence. My friend stayed on the line for 2.5 hour during one of the phone calls to get help without any resolve, and that was just one of many phone calls.
This is simply unacceptable. Companies need to be accountable to their customers, even if they are the only game in town. Customers should also demand more.
Time Warner Cable and At&t are just two examples, but many businesses take advantage of their position and require customers to dance to their tune. This might be the restaurant that refuses to make substitutions or the airline that charges for an extra inch of legroom or a cup of water. I think it is important to remember that customers provide our bread and butter. That doesn’t mean you have to give away the store or lower your values, but treat the customer with respect and appreciation.
