Eat The Frog First Thing In The Morning
The best way to make something seem hard, is to keep putting it off. And it seems the more we procrastinate, the more we waste time trying to avoid that which we don’t want to do or can’t do. It doesn’t matter what the task is, we all have tasks that we dread doing. Brian Tracy wrote a book called “Eat That Frog” and he says, “If the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning is eat a live frog, then nothing worse can happen for the rest of the day!” What that means is that if you tackle the thing you dread most, whether it is a phone call, visiting a job site, recoding financial information, filing, catching up on paperwork, or doing something fairly mundane or tedious, you will find it much easier if you can do it first thing in the morning. Research indicates getting it over first will allow you to concentrate on the things that are more interesting, exciting and fulfilling.
