THE FAQ’s

MOROCCO 2022

1. If for some reason I have to cancel, would you find someone on your waiting list and refund my money?

Although we can’t guarantee to find you a replacement, if for some reason you were unable to attend, we would be more than happy to assist you with trying to find a replacement or if you knew of another woman who wanted to take your place we would accept that as a replacement. And please know too that safety is and always will be our first priority, so if conditions (ie:covid) in Morocco warrant cancellation of the retreats, we will refund your money.

2.  Will you have a waiting list?

We do have a rather large list of people wanting to know about these retreats so we are hopeful it will sell out quickly which means, if something happened and someone couldn't go, we think there would be others wanting to take your spot.

3.  Do we have to bring our own art supplies?

No, we will provide you with whatever supplies you need to complete our creative projects.

4. What do you provide for “workshop materials”?

While what we provide is subject to change, there should be a variety of quality mixed media materials and subtrates to produce something meaningful.

5.  If I sign up for both sessions, will the sightseeing for the second session include different sights or a repeat of what we saw in first session?

We are intent on making each retreat unique and provide a meaningful experience with a focus on either creativity or business. As far as the sightseeing, there may be some overlap, (such as the most amazing coffee shop ever, even if you don't like coffee or a spa and resort that we love, which honestly, I could spend a week there exploring and relaxing and never be disappointed, but, we will take the first group to places that the second retreat group won't get to see on our itinerary, and vice versa for the second retreat group. Ohhh, one other thing, the Riad we are staying at will be the same, not sure if the desert glamping camp accommodations in the Atlas Mountains will be the same for both groups yet.

6.  What is the price?

Registration will open OCT 26th with a 50% deposit required to reserve your spot. Balance will be due JAN 15, 2022

  • Shared rooms are $3000 per person, each retreat (Each shared room has two beds for two women)- perfect for sharing with a great friend, mom or sister or we will match you up with another woman) .

  • A Private room will accommodate one person and the cost is $3900 per person for each retreat

  • The first 5 women to register for either retreat in Morocco will receive a private 45 minute consultation with Adele and Jan at no charge ( a $400 value)

  • BONUS: If you decide you want to attend both retreats, we will cover your accommodation and meals on MAR 12th and provide a private hour consultation with myself and Adele.

7. Will you tell me what I need to pack, how much money to bring, covid requirements etc.?

We will send out a welcome packet with recommendations, suggestions and tips for successful travel and retreat experience to every registration at least a month prior to the retreats.

8 Where will we be staying?

We will be staying 4 nights in a Riad and one night in a glamping tent in the desert in the Atlas Mountains. All accommodations will have a private bathroom and shower.

9. What is a Riad?

It is a multi –story home with a courtyard in the middle

10. Do I need to speak a foreign language?

No, English is spoken most every where, although French and Arabic are nice to know.

11. Can I bring my spouse or partner?

Both retreats are for women only so if that applies, then yes.

12. My spouse, partner, friend wants to come to Morocco and share my room but doesn’t want to attend the retreat, can they come and do they need to pay anything?

The retreat is more than just a vacation, it is a community of women that are here to learn, explore, discover and participate in the activities we have planned with each other. Anyone associated with our group will need to reserve their spot and pay the full retreat fee.

13. Can I come early or stay later than the retreat at the same accommodations or can you make recommendations about where to stay?

We are happy to make recommendations and would assist you in your efforts to stay at the same place at the retreat should you decide to come earlier or stay later after the retreat.

14.  I’m vegetarian, gluten free or lactose intolerant; will there be things for me to eat there?

At our last retreat, we had several vegetarians and they loved the Moroccan fare and found plenty of things to eat. Morocco seems to accommodate all food types.

15. Is Morocco safe?

Every city has areas that are unsafe, but we always practice safety and take normal precautions being in a foreign city such as traveling with a guide or groups when appropriate, not flashing jewelry or money, not giving our phone to a stranger to take photos, not going out alone after dark.

15. I want to book the retreat in a shared room, but I’m not bringing someone to share a room with? Is that still possible?

Yes, we will make every effort to pair you up with a suitable roommate.

16. I snore, talk in my sleep, sleepwalk or grind my teeth. Is that a problem if I book a shared room?

Although many of us suffer from ailments such as these, please try to book a private room so as to be a respectful traveler and retreat participant.

17. How will I get to our accommodations?

We will provide transportation to and from the airport to wherever we are staying.

18. What airport do I fly into?

RAK

19. Are flights included in the price of the retreat?

No, you are responsible for transportation to and from your original destination out of the RAK airport.

20. What is your cancellation policy? Do I need Traveler’s Insurance, Covid test, or Vaccination?

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Travel these days can be unpredictable and unfortunately we don't have a crystal ball to say on this day and that you will be 100% safe and that there will be no hiccups involved. Whether it be covid, weather conditions, terrorism, political climate, adverse regulations, health issues, family issues, travel issues, etc., etc, all we can do to protect ourselves as much as possible is by staying aware and taking necessary precautions. Adele and I are as concerned as all of you and we didn't make the decision to offer these retreats lightly, but we feel getting travel insurance, vaccinations, and receiving a negative covid test 72 hours prior to travel [requirements to go on this retreat] are all steps to help mitigate concerns and protect us all in uncertain conditions.

Additionally, Adele and I are monitoring the conditions everyday but due to the involved logistics, we offer NO CANCELLATION POLICY or REFUNDS (except as noted below)

Safety is and always will be our first priority. We will closely monitor all travel conditions and will be communicative about any updates affecting the retreat. Please trust that if conditions in Morocco warrant cancellation of the retreats, we’ve got your back and will refund where appropriate.

However, we do understand that things come up, so should you be unable to attend for any personal reason, (sickness, changed mind, family emergency, your flight got cancelled, the plane is delayed, job, etc.,), even though there are no refunds or cancellation, we are happy to welcome anyone appropriate you find or assist with trying to help you find someone to participate in your place.

We also require you to have travel insurance in place to cover costs such as flight or any other incidentals that we can’t be responsible for.
