11. Can I bring my spouse or partner?
Our retreat is for women only so if that applies, then yes.
My spouse, partner, friend wants to come to Morocco and share my room but doesn’t want to attend the retreat, can they come and do they need to pay anything?
The retreat is more than just a vacation, it is a community of women that are here to learn, explore, discover and participate in the activities we have planned with each other. Anyone associated with our group will need to reserve their spot and pay the full retreat fee.
I want to book the retreat in a shared room, but I’m not bringing someone to share a room with? Is that still possible?
Yes, we will make every effort to pair you up with a suitable roommate.
I snore, talk in my sleep, sleepwalk or grind my teeth. Is that a problem if I book a shared room?
Although many of us suffer from ailments such as these, please try to book a private room so as to be a respectful traveler and retreat participant.
Can I come early or stay later than the retreat at the same accommodations or can you make recommendations about where to stay?
We are happy to make recommendations or although there are no guarantees, we are happy to assist you in your efforts to stay at the same place as the retreat should you decide to come earlier or stay later after the retreat. These requests if available are not part of the retreat and therefore are the sole responsibility of the individual and are not covered in the retreat price.
Is Morocco safe?
Every city has areas that are unsafe, but we always practice safety and take normal precautions being in a foreign city such as traveling with a guide or groups when appropriate, not flashing jewelry or money, not giving our phone to a stranger to take photos, not going out alone after dark.
What airport do I fly into?
RAK
Are flights included in the price of the retreat?
No, you are responsible for transportation to and from your original destination out of the RAK airport.
What airline do you recommend? While we don’t recommend a specific airline, you may find flights are more reasonable if you fly into a major city like Barcelona, London, Lisbon and then take a smaller airline into the RAK airport
Do I need a passport or special visa.
You do need a valid undamaged passport with at least 6 months of validity from your date of entry into Morocco and remaining before expiration and at least one blank page for entry stamp.
Do I need a Covid test or a Vaccination?
At this time, covid tests or vaccinations are not required. However, if you are sick and may put others at risk, we urge you to consider your fellow travelers in making the proper decision regarding attendance of the retreat. Purchasing comprehensive insurance may provide protection in the event of unwelcome health issues affecting your trip.
What is your CANCELLATION POLICY:
We have a NO CANCELLATION POLICY or REFUNDS due to the nature and logistics of this retreat. Travel these days can be unpredictable with weather conditions, political climate, adverse regulations, emergency health issues, family issues, or travel issues, etc., therefore travel insurance is required to protect all of us if such anyone of these unfortunate events disrupts your trip unexpectedly.
Recommended Travel Insurance companies to check out.
If for some reason I have to cancel, would you find someone to take my spot?
We do understand that things come up (sickness, changed mind, family emergency, your flight got cancelled, the plane is delayed, job, etc.,), , so should you be unable to attend for any personal reason, we offer no guarantees but if we have a waitlist or if you knew of another woman who wanted to take your spot we would accept that as a replacement for your registration.
I’m vegetarian, gluten free or lactose intolerant; will there be things for me to eat there?
At our last retreat, we had several vegetarians and they loved the Moroccan fare and found plenty of things to eat. Morocco seems to accommodate all food types.
Will you tell me what I need to pack, how much money to bring, and other recommendations?
We will send out a welcome packet with recommendations, suggestions and tips for successful travel and retreat experience to every registration at least a month prior to the retreats.
